Then they moved to Woodstock, N.Y.
After divorce from Allen, she and David sailed to San Francisco to visit her mother, 
and she got a job in Los Angeles as director of the Thre Arts Club, a residential club 
for young ladies studying painting, music or drama. 
Wrote three novels: in 1941, Coat for a Soldier, in 1942, Traveller's Candle, and in 
1948, Blue Dowry. Also wrote a few plays, none produced.

About The courier. (Lincoln, Neb.) 1894-1903
Cards have been received from Mr. and Mrs. John P. Maule of Denver announcing the 
marriage of their daughter Florence, to Mr. Frederick Curtis Cooley, on the twenty-
ninth of this month at St. Mark's church, Denver, Colorado. Both Mr. Cooley and Miss 
Maule are very well known and much loved in Lincoln. Mr. Cooley was graduated from 
the State university and Miss Maule spent her childhood and early young womanhood 
here. Miss Florence is the younger daughter. Her older sister is a very successful 
news paper writer, inheriting literary talent --v from her mother, who is a talented '' 
story writer. Mr. Cooley has many friends and the prospects of the young couple are 
bright.

The wedding of Miss Florence Maule and Mr. Frederick Curtis Cooley wilt take place 
at noon Wednesday, in St.Mark's church, Rev. John H. Houghton officiating. Miss 
Maule has been a member of St Mark's choir for several years and the full vested 
choir will sing the wedding march from Lohengrin.
The church will be decorated in pink and white. The bride will be gowned in white and 
will wear a lone white veil. She will carry a prayer-book. Miss Frances Maule, sister of 
the bride, will be her only attendant. She will wear a pink gown and carry pink rosea. 
The ushers, best men and many of the guests will come from Nebraska, where the 
bride and groom both graduated at the state university. The wedding breakfast, which 
was to have followed the ceremony, was given up, owing to the sudden death of Mrs. 
Maule's brother. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Cooley will take a wedding trip, and 
on their return will be at home to their friends in the Highlands. Denver Times.
